Lena, based on the history here, is there a reason we don't want to go ahead with releasing 2.5.8 which has been in -proposed for a while and has had some user testing, before moving to 2.5.9?

If the changes in 2.5.9 are safe and appropriate, the subset of changes in 2.5.8 should be safer, right?
