Ok, all dependent bugs were sorted out:
- 1758428 is in Bionic, ready to be included in the backport SRU
- 1750780 is only an issue pre-Bionic, ready to be included in the backport SRU
- 1741390 (this bug) was well tested along with the others
Version numbers for Xenial and Artful were adapted so that there will be no issues upgrading forward from them.
For correctness I also inserted the changelog history that happened in Bionic since we started this. This has no functional change, but is correct in terms of reading the changes.
Build with the right -v against what is in artful/xenial updates that gives quite a long changes, but it is what is correct.
That said, upload made available in -unapproved for SRU Team review:
X: open-vm-tools_10.2.0-3~ubuntu0.16.04.1_source.changes
A: open-vm-tools_10.2.0-3~ubuntu0.17.10.1_source.changes
After all the tests I'm rather confident we don't regress anything.
If any we might face issues we had before as well, we have to be careful when verifying these to not block for new but only regressing issues - or this will never complete :-)
