Same here:
36 GB .xsession-errors - Noticed it only because several applications behaved weird, due to lack of diskspace.

  * OS: Xubuntu 18.04.5
  * nvidia driver installed: 390.132
  * VLC 3.0.8

I'm a heavy suspend/resume user, so I think this may be the same issue.

Anything we can do to help?
