Can you post the result of the command (type in a terminal window)
getfattr -e hex -n system.ntfs_attrib <a-slowly-written-ntfs-file>
Obviously replace "<a-slowly-written-ntfs-file>" by the name of an NTFS file you had difficulties writing.
