problem here too with transmission inside wubi downloading an iso to the host ntfs partition. i posted a duplicate here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transmission/+bug/551803
transmission becomes unresponsive after a couple of hours (maybe its a data transferred correlation, not a time one, because my internet is really really slow at 256kbps). cpu usage of one core jumps to 100% and the other is 5-10%. the hard drive and cpu gets extremely hot. since its a laptop, the keyboard gets too hot to touch. i had to handle it wearing gloves (not kidding).
