I've got it working by restoring /etc/apparmor.d/tunables/proc
$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall apparmor
Then editing /etc/mysql/my.cnf to comment this line:
skip-bdb
Start mysql:
$ sudo start mysql mysql start/running, process 19527
