Since this bug was logged 5 years ago, and is still present... in fact it is now on a shortlist of 2 bugs that will stop my adoption of Wayland, I thought I would confirm that it is still present in Ubuntu 22.04 (development branch), at the time of writing, with Gnome 41.1.
