Bug Description
Binary package hint: smplayer
Hi,
I had tried many times to make (basmalah) subtitle font worked on smplayer 0.6.6 but I couldn't. There are two Arabic encoding: cp-1256 and ISO-8859-6. Linux and Microsoft fonts work fine on cp-1256 encoding but do not work on iso-8859-6 encoding. The basmalah font and alot of Arabic fonts did not work on open office and video players on both encoding.
It is also the same thing in smplayer windows version.
I think ubuntu does not support font that made on Macintosh.
