Having the similar problem

When running on battery and connecting to wifi hotspot (no encryption) system halts and
Num lock, Scroll lock start blinking. I have a fresh ubuntu 10.10 32-bit edition, didn't have
any problems on ubuntu 10.04 32-bit.

Hardware is MSI M670 : AMD Sempron 3600+, 4GB DDR2, nforce MCP51,
geforce go 6100 and ralink RT2561/RT61 wifi card
