Additional information, from running the following commands:

and (from the wiki page)

udevadm info --export-db > udev-db.txt
dmesg > dmesg.log
xkbcomp -xkb :0 - > xkbcomp.txt
setxkbmap -print > xkbmap.txt

The following was not run, due to not being able to find the program in question:
sudo lsinput > lsinput.log

The following command produced a warning:
$ sudo xkbcomp -xkb :0 - > xkbcomp.txt
Warning: Could not load keyboard geometry for :0
                  BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
                  Resulting keymap file will not describe geometry
