For the last couple of months I've been plugged to the cable because I haven't had the chance to continue to test the fixes proposed for this bug. Finally I was able to make some time and I've tested it, unfortunately my desktop-PC still hangs as soon as the module is loaded. I'm using Jaunty so the only thing I had to do is to remove the module from the blacklist.conf file.
I tried it with and without using NetworkManager
