I used to experience this problem on my ASUS ZenBook 14 UM425QA-KI011 from time to time, but after recent upgrade (to 22.04.2? now I'm at kernel 5.19.0-32-generic) it started manifesting almost on every sleep/resume attempt - I'm getting black screen when trying to resume, the power button led is on and only holding it to reboot does anything.
One thing to note: in this "unresumable" sleep state the laptop is draining battery and gets quite hot within tens of minutes.

I switched to hibernate instead, which works more often, but occasionally it also has issues (probably unrelated: simetimes I think it fails to finish hibernation, a small "power" led on the right side is still on, or other times it hibernates, but after de-hibernating the system freezes completely with the screen showing the original pre-hibernation content).

Providing some system info if it could help:
