great info Roberto,Thanks for the homework you did on /proc/acpi/wakeup,I now can resume from suspend by tabbing the keyboard,verses having to hit the power button.
I totally agree that it should be part of the default power management in Gnome...
Anders,the acpitool looks promising/interesting....thanks for the links
