The BIOS is extremely limited in terms of tunables, practically only a dozen tunables (like Secure boot on/off, date/time, administrator password, enabling/disabling some chipset devices like Bluetooth, SATA mode -- AHCI by default of course, like that. Not much really. And indeed there's nothing related to touchpad whatsoever in it.
Unfortunately, I'm going offline now, as it's quite late here. I'll however respond with more data, if required, tomorrow.
