Are You booting Linux before or after connecting the power cord?
It looks like something with the Embedded Controller. It's a chip on the MB that runs some code stored in EEPROM, is driving the leds (battery, AC, running, etc.).
I will ask You to send me Your ACPI tables once I will sort out whether this is legal. You are based in India?
