Srihari: are you sure this is not a regression? I also have received a brand new laptop (with an elantech touchpad and a touchscreen), booted up Fedora 20 (with 3.11 kernel in the live image), and the touchpad worked (dmesg elantech mentions unknown version, as opposed to assuming hardware version 4 seen in 3.13+). Booting up anything 3.13, and the touchpad doesn't work at all.
