Mateusz Jończyk's patch that fixes Elantech touch pad on Gigabyte laptops (e.g., P35G v2)

All credits to Mateusz Jończyk. With his patch above, the Elantech touch pad on my Gigabyte P35G v2 has worked every time after power up, which it wasn't doing before. Without his patch, the laptop had to be booted on Windows first, then rebooted in Linux. With his patch, however, Elantech touch pad works, when Linux is booted directly after a power down.
