Here is a backport done against
git clone git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-bionic --branch master-next --single-branch

Please note, I just did the technical backport without any compiler involvement or similar.
However, as I am the owner of this code, it should apply and compile cleanly.
