Tested with Trusty kernel

pool/main/l/linux/linux-image-3.13.0-102-generic_3.13.0-102.149_amd64.deb

from proposed but on Xenial test machine. Tool now aborts with

"Attach failed"

no matter what is set in /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope on host.

Not sure if that Trusty/Xenial cross-release check is sufficient for verification.

The Xenial kernel from proposed does not fix the issues yet (wasn't claimed in the discussion anyway)
