Same issue on fresh UEFI/GPT install of Zesty (ubuntu 17.04 with Gnome Desktop) on a brand new Dell XPS 15 9560.
Editing /etc/default/grub with:

 GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi=force"

seems to solve (or supress ?) the pbm.
