Hi there

I am glad to assist. Following the instructions, I have install the mainline kernel 3.16.0-031600rc5-generic but the problem persists.

$ uname -a
Linux christoph-desktop 3.16.0-031600rc5-generic #201407131735 SMP Sun Jul 13 23:02:38 UTC 2014 i686 athlon i686 GNU/Linux

$ dmesg | grep rt2
[ 15.135346] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00_set_rt: Info - RT chipset 5392, rev 0223 detected
[ 15.138720] ieee80211 phy0: rt2800_init_eeprom: Error - Invalid RF chipset 0x5362 detected
