Hello,

I just upgraded from Kubuntu 12.04 to Kubuntu 12.10 (amd64), and suspend is not working anymore . Here are more details:

I got a Sony Vaio VPCS12L9E

    When I select suspend from the Kde menu, suspend doesn't work:
- the screen goes black, but does not turn off
- num Lock works,
- caps Lock doesn't work
- notebook is on, and doesn't enter suspend mode.

In this state, i can only press power button (hard power off) or reboot with Stamp + Alt + B.

In Kubuntu 12.04 suspend work, but hibernate doesn't. Hibernate doesn't work on 12.10 too.

As describe in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend, i entered the following commands:

sudo sh -c "sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; pm-suspend"
