Same problem for me, Laptop is again an FJS Amilo, this time the Xi1526, more or less the same, but with Nvidia Graphics.

I reported the problem in the ubuntuusers.de forum twice, but noone could really help.

When booting with acpi=off the timeout ist only about 9 seconds, but i didn't manage to find out something else.
