Comment 12 for bug 125832

It's still missing in 2.6.22-10. Removing this driver makes no sense to me -- it's fully functional and supports some hardware that is not supported by hostap. The changelog of 27 April (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/gutsy-changes/2007-May/001245.html) indicates it's being disabled "in favor of hostap_cs", but this makes little sense as hostap_cs does not support all hardware in orinoco_cs. The 2.6.22 kernels are useless for me at present.
