The fix also does not work perfectly for me (Abit AB9 Pro board with Jmicron and ICH8 controllers).

I did manage to install the daily build of April 1th with the "pci=biosirq" option in the bootloader. Feisty boots now, but only with pci=biosirq noapic nolapic acpi=of options in grub.
