You should be able to just flash it again with the correct firmware in most cases.
I guess others will take that as a warning not to try flashing the firmware. I'm very sorry to hear that it didn't go well for you.
Incidentally - I did retest my other card - it's an older hardware version and has the latest firmware available for it and it does not work. The hostap driver developers may know more about if these older cards are simply a loss or if the driver should be working.
