I have this problem on Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen10, Intel i5 and Intel Irisxe graphics. Came preinstalled with Ubuntu 20.04, but I immediately installed 22.04. BIOS version is N3AET72W (1.37), 2023-03-02. The laptop does not wake from suspend, even after changing BIOS to Linux S3 suspend option.
What worked was running Xorg instead of Wayland. On startup when typing in password, I selected the Xorg option from bottom right settings, as suggested in this link. I haven't had the problem since. https://itsfoss.com/switch-xorg-wayland/
