Following response #4, I did:
git clone git://github.com/GM-Script-Writer-62850/Ubuntu-Mainline-Kernel-Updater cd Ubuntu-Mainline-Kernel-Updater/ sudo bash install KernelUpdateChecker -ar -v 4.12 -f sudo /tmp/kernel-update
Then in the install process deleted the 4.13 kernel, and now bluetooth is running fine.
