In an effort to find an open source alternative to Skype, I've installed linphone on mine and my Uncle's Ubuntu.

I set us up two account at sip.siphone.org, and configured both of our installations to use that service as a proxy.

Each time I'd call him, the Linphone application would crash (on my computer -- Ubuntu 14.04 Alpha) as soon as he'd answers the call.

I was thrilled when Linphone rang my Uncle's computer, but disappointed that the application could not sustain a call; after several attempts, only one time did my Uncle remain connected to me long enough to hear me say "hello"; each time Linphone crashed before we could sustain a conversation.

I hope that this bug report includes information that will allow the developers to trouble-shoot and make linphone better for Ubuntu 14.04.
