Comment 3 for bug 190934

This sounds like what I'm seeing on my Dell Inspiron 510m running Hardy. Sometimes (seemingly at random) the modifier keys stop working. Logging out and back in usually fixes it. The problem seems to be that I cannot hold a key, since keyboard repeat fails at the same time.

The problem was frequent on the Alpha 4 live cd and the fresh install, but it seems to have been less frequent lately, though this might just be random.
