Compiled it on Intrepid with debugging info (note that I had to add #include <sys/param.h> to the top of toolkit/xre/nsAppRunner.h because of the bug mentioned in https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=44830 ). A gdb session of the recent files problem is attached. Note that it only happens when the mouse hovers over the recent files menu item; if it is selected by keyboard only, the program behaves correctly.
It appears to be a null pointer reference.
