I heard people talk about it, but realized the tracker is missing a Task for openvswitch:
/etc/network/if-post-down.d/openvswitch
/etc/network/if-pre-up.d/openvswitch
IIRC all the discussions correctly that was one of the harder cases due to "Pre" not really being a defined thing anymore.
The question is how much OVS relies on that to work as PRE, or if it can be later (or totally ignored).
I'll ping Jamespage about this for his OVS experience.
