Facing the same issue with multiple clean installs of bionic on esxi hosts.

The warning message persists even after adding `noresume` to the kernel command line!
I also tried changing `use_lvmetad` to 0 in `/etc/lvm/lvm.conf` and removing `/etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume` and updating initramfs with no luck!
