In the most recent update of the Human Netbook Theme (0.13~ppa1), I noticed a difference in the sizes between controls in the original Clearlooks theme and the Netbook derivative.
In particular, I noticed that entries in Pidgin's Buddy List are quite a bit larger, as well as vertical scrollbars being much wider in all programs. There may be other differences, but these are all I've noticed.
To reproduce:
1) Open up gnome-appearance-properties
2) Open up Pidgin, and display the Buddy List
3) Select the Human-Clearlooks theme, and take note of the size
4) Select the Human-Netbook theme, and take note of the difference
Expected: The Netbook theme to be the same size (or smaller potentially) than the Clearlooks theme.
What occurs: The Netbook theme controls are larger than the Clearlooks equivalents in many cases.
This only appeared as of the newest version as mentioned above, but unfortunately I don't remember what the last one was, nor can I install it.
All my fonts in the appearances panel are set to 8. The gaps appear to be independent of font size, meaning the gaps look more extreme the smaller the fonts you use.
It might be a bit strong to call this an outright bug, but I just figured that when dealing with small resolution screens, you want to have smaller controls to match!
P.S. This is my first bug report, so if you have any pointers on anything I missed or should do in future, please tell! I've just looked at other bug reports and followed by example.
