Comment 4 for bug 827196

I am experiencing a similar (same ?) problem with a parallel port printer (hp laserjet 1100)
i can install the printer and print
however, once i suspend/resume the system, the printer will not print anymore (jobs are withelds);
If i use hptoolbox to delete/recreate the printer then the hp-setup says "no device found"
Using cups to find the printer -> the printer is not found anymore
trying to scan with xsane -> printer is not found either (the hp 1100a has an attached scanner)

this is experienced with lubuntu 11
and i can see that also with Crunchbang (this is a debian based distribution); symptoms are the same.
