"gvfsd-smb-browse" takes core-4 to 100% and stays there:

I'm running Xubuntu 14.04 in 32 bit mode on an AMD
Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor and have accepted
ALL updates.

I keep system monitor running and noticed that after I plug in a
thumb drive (actually an SD card in an adapter) that core-4 goes
to 100% and stays there until I shut down and restart, OR Kill
“gvfsd-smb-browse”.

When killing the “gvfsd-smb-browse” process System Monitor
warns:
Killing a process may destroy data, break the session or
introduce a security risk. Only unresponsive processes
     should be killed.

Command line "top" shows CPU usage at 25% continually during
the excursion. I'll gladly provide more details if you need.
