Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-sound
Although Bug #521046 is now fixed, the mouse wheel still does not work when the sound indicator is selected (AKA its menu is open). Although the menu gives the alternative way of going directly to the slider, I think the wheel should work both when the menu is closed and open, for full consistency.

The slider can be moved via the mouse wheel once the mouse is over the slider. I can see your point though.
Will consult the designer to clarify preferred behaviour.
