With Live-CD and grub reinstallation helped in Simple way (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#Reinstalling from LiveCD) ... for a while, needed two similar fixes within one hour of use ( there was several reboots between Ubuntu and XP ), so it fixes the booting, but something just goes broken again.
XP has been worked fine all time, when grub has worked and booted to there.

Single IDE drive, with Dual boot XP / Ubuntu.

Grub in MBR
Pentium 4 2.66MHz, 1Gb RAM
