If you read that Redhat bug - and specifically my comment on it - you will see that the title is misleading. It was probably wrongly closed when it was also being moved against gnome-screensaver (and should have been retitled).
Further, it probably IS the same bug as this - the underlying issue is with gnome-screensaver grabbing input devices. This manifests in several different situations.
