Are you all using the GNOME3 Staging PPA? If so, this is a known issue that I don't think will be fixed there.

I believe this bug was fixed in Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 so I suggest upgrading. If you do, you will need to upgrade twice per year until 18.04 LTS.
