Agreed. If what you're saying is:

  * on Windows, installing these fonts shows the simplistic two-face
option in Word, and the sophisticated one-face-multiple-weights option
in Photoshop
 * same one Mac

... then we basically have a problem in Ubuntu and it's apps / toolkits
that needs fixing.
