Did you mount these shares e.g. via Nautilus before navigating to the `gvfs` subfolder? If you mount only when the file picker is already showing this folder, the file picker view is not refreshed. Either close the picker then and go to the location again or navigate one folder higher (`1000`) and then back into `gvfs`. You should then see the shares.
If still not, what does running `ls -al /var/run/user/1000/gvfs` in a console print out?
