This is a somewhat recent regression, I could do that a few weeks ago.

STR:
 - Mount a CIFS share in GNOME's
 - Right click, "Save link target as"
 - Select a folder within CIFS share where you have credentials

Expected:
 - File is downloaded

Actual:
 - Nothing happens, and no error is reported.
