this lack of remote desktop support is very frustrating since most of my work is done from home and I can no longer have Ubuntu on my server machine due to the repaint problems in 11.04. I switched to using the 'Classic' desktop with no special effects and it was better. there where still occasional repaint problems. I had to remove Ubuntu and use another distribution.
