Bug Description
[ Binary package hint: gdm ] <---- Line incorrect & removed. 6:30am, May 8th, 2010 - Jack Thomas
Binary package hint: Xorg-server <------- Considered correct as of 6:39am, May 8th, 2010. Added by Jack Thomas / zipperback
Fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid 64bit version.
The system appears to simply stop responding at random times.
No mouse response, no keyboard response. Nothing.
The system stops responding for up to a minute or so at a time, and then begins responding again.
My hardware is an AMD Phenom X4 processor, 7GB ram, ATI Radeon 3200 video.
The system stops responding with the default video driver, it also stops responding if I install the restricted closed source video driver. Disabling compiz appears to have no effect on this problem.
No sure what logs people would like to see, but I will be happy to upload any information as required to try and track this down.
