"Workaround in the mean-time is to uninstall -fglrx and use the open source -ati driver instead"
Is the open-source driver used by default? I've never installed fglrx.
I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600. It's my understanding that ATI has stopped support for the Control Catalyst for my card. What exactly do I do then?
I've not installed a driver since installing Lucid, but I know my graphics are not working properly (3d games/youtube videos run choppy and medium desktop effects run slow).
How do I use the open-source ATI driver if I'm not already using it?
