It is my understanding too.

- the BootInfo in http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=12366098&postcount=1 shows that just after the Ubuntu install there was only 1 file in the ESP: /boot/efi/efi/ubuntu/grubx64.efi
- and Viking777 wrote "Ubuntu 12.10 installed using whole disk.", so i guess that he used the "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" option in Ubiquity. @Viking777: please can you confirm?
