Hi, thanks for your bug report. This is something that shouldn't happen! Could you run the following command? I think it should give the same error, please report the full backtrace.
  PYTHONPATH=/usr/share/disper/src python -c 'import nvidia; n=nvidia.NVidiaControl(); print n.probe_displays(nvidia.Screen(0))'
