I tried working around this problem by creating a folder /someotherDisc/dejaDupCache and then symbolic linking ~/.cache/deja-dup to it. This works for some time. The folder grows beyond the size of the space available on the "original" filesystem. But some time during the backup-process the link is removed and a new folder ~/.cache/deja-dup is created which again has too little available space
