* affects me on Ubuntu 14.04 * the Puny Geek workaround did not help in my case - did not persist across system reboot * using the swap partition path (/dev/sdaX, as hinted in http://askubuntu.com/questions/289858/disk-drive-for-dev-mapper-cryptswap-1-is-not-ready?rq=1) instead of UUID did help
